The craftsmanship of the footwear is extraordinary. Beautiful accents make them a work of art. Just really a step above because of the way they are made - sturdy but designed with flair. They are a treat for your feet!I love these boots from L'Artiste! They are well made inside and out and even on the soles! The attention to detail is amazing! The threads used in the stitching are multicolored (which gives a touch of coordination to any color you are wearing). The "belting" adds some interest to the boot and I like the gold buckle detail. The color is a bit darker on the toe area I and feel this "shortens" the look a bit of the boot and this makes your foot appear smaller I think (which is good). The heel is a nice height and the sole is not slick but has a lovely pattern on it. I notice these things and it means that someone has put alot of effort into making this a beautiful "work of art". The inside of the boot is beautiful as well. I was amazed! It had a floral soft fabric which along with some padding on the footbed makes it comfortable to slip your foot into. I have work them with skinny jeans, leggings, tights (with a skirt) and a dress. They make any outfit look good! :) The toe is rounded and I feel that is more comfortable than a pointy toe. So Thank You L'Artiste for making these lovely boots! I ordered a 1/2 size up due to the European measurements (I usually wear an 8 which is between 38 and 39. I chose the 39 as I wear thicker socks when wearing them with pants in winter. They are not too big when I wear the tights, so it was a good choice. This boot is beautiful and well worth the price I paid for them. I wear a 71/2 shoe in American Sized Shoes. With this brand if buying a boot I always order an 8 1/2 Or 39.. I have a wide foot. This fits perfect. I have several pairs of boots in this line. And several pairs of other shoe products from this supplier. Sandals I always order a 37 or 38.. If you follow the charts on the length of your foots for ordering you will do fine..Almost too pretty to wear! So well made. Fits true to size. Comfortable enough (haven't worn for any distance walking). Zippers work smoothly. Love them.I have a number of shoes/boots from this manufacturer and I love everyone. Spring Step L’Artiste is my go to site and I always get compliments on themIt's like wearing a Monet. On your feet.I can't even believe how stunningly, fascinatingly remarkable these boots are. I own them in three different colors—red, green, and blue—and I can't tell you. Each of them is stunningly the same in its design with the rainbow thread, heel height, and where the patterns cross...but that's where the sameness ends. They are so stunningly different. The green and blue both have paint-like designs across the toe that are completely different. The red has a sort of sunrise effect, going from darker to lighter red. The texture, pattern, sheen, and color scheme differences make each pair the most incredible work of art...and completely different. Like, I can wear the red ones on Tuesday and the blue ones on Wednesday, and no one has any idea they're the same boot. They're comfortable, the heel is sturdy, and the treads are effective. My only general complaint is that I wish L'artiste would make pointier, more elegant toe shapes, but I'm not a Western boot girl ;) and clearly they are. It's a rounded toe on these. Still gorgeous, but not as elegant as it could've been with this remarkable craftsmanship and artistry. Wow, L'artiste...this brand has turned me into a shoe person.Love the design andcomfort of these boots. Crazy cool
